McCarthy names new regional leaders
The president of McCarthy Building Cos. Inc.’s largest regional division will retire next year and the construction company will split management of the region into two divisions.
Karl Kloster, 56, will retire in May 2009 after 15 years as president of the Ladue-based company’s Midwest division, an area that covers the company’s projects from the Rocky Mountains to the East Coast.
Starting in January, the division will be split into a Central division, run by Scott Wittkop in St. Louis, and a Southeast division, run by Kevin Kuntz in Atlanta.
About $1 billion of McCarthy’s $2.9 billion in 2007 revenue came from its Midwest division, a company spokeswoman said no teletrack payday loans. The new divisions will allow the company to enhance its focus on regional growth and performance, the company said.
Kuntz, 47, will oversee operations in 6 states in the Southeast. Wittkop, 45, will lead McCarthy’s work in the remaining states east of the Rockies as well as the company’s health care, science & technology and St. Louis business units.
